AITIIP and LIEHBERR team start up the INN-PAEK Project

Last January 2021, the INN-PAEK project was launched.

Over the course of 30 months, both the project coordinator, the AITIIP technology center, and the topic manager, Liebherr, will ensure that INN-PAEK's objectives are achieved. This project aims to demonstrate the technical, environmental and economic feasibility of manufacturing a thermoplastic Flange Wheel.

INN-PAEK will substitute in an innovative way the classical flange wheel manufacturing processes for a near-net-shape cost efficient and easy to implement mould-supported processes such as advanced injection moulding.

A few weeks after de launching, on January 18th, the partners had a first contact through an internal meeting, in which they outlined the strategies to follow over the next few years.
