Aitiip Technology Center has participated in Wake Up Spain! Forum. A magnificent space for discussion and knowledge transfer that has brought together different political, economic and social actors of the country.
The research director of Aitiip, Berta Gonzalvo, in a round table together with other representatives of Spanish technology centers, has valued the role of these as cohesive agents of the territory, being tractors of innovation and progress. During the event, the experts also discussed the development capacity of pilot plants and demonstrators, and addressed the attraction and generation of talent as a multiplier effect of R&D investment. Key strategies to optimize competitiveness and employment and to place large and small companies at the forefront, both inside and outside Spain.
Gonzalvo, during her speech, recalled that people's talent is key: in the Spanish technology centers "we work more than 8,600 employees, of which 6,000 are researchers and about 1,300 are doctors". Institutions committed to innovation, plurality, attracting and retaining talent, development, job creation, territorial cohesion, and progress".
The R&D representatives highlighted the involvement of the technology centers in pioneering lines of research at national and international level. This is the case of the recycling of composite materials. In this sense, the centers have already mobilized nearly 20 million euros, leading revolutionary European initiatives and projects, such as HELACS or BIZENTE, coordinated by Aitiip.
