In this context, Aitiip joins the consortium of the European project RESOURCE, led from Aragon, with the aim of stimulating territorial investment in circular economy, through the creation of a network that promotes sustainable and innovative business models. Ultimately, to promote a new socio-economic paradigm based on the best European practices that can be replicated in other regions, such as Aragon.
The RESOURCE project - which has a budget of nearly two million euros from the Horizon Europe programme - will help promoters of circular economy projects along the entire value chain of the business ecosystem, with the aim of bringing together the technical, economic and legal knowledge necessary to develop initiatives that are attractive and thus entice investment to the territory.
The ultimate goal is to make Aragon a European benchmark in sustainability, transition and green economy.
Within the framework of the project, a network of professional will focus on seeking nine pilot initiatives, to achieve an investment of 20 million euros. The RESOURCE consortium also includes the Government of Aragon itself, the CEEI Aragon, and institutions from the technological and innovation environment, such as the National Association of CEEIs, the University of Leiden or the European centre EBN.
