Last Friday the first stone was laid for the expansion of the Aitiip Technology Centre facilities. The event was presided over by the Mayor of Zaragoza, Jorge Azcón, the Regional Minister of Science, University and Knowledge Society of the Government of Aragon, Maru Díaz, and the Director General of Industry and SMEs of the Government of Aragon, Carlos Javier Navarro Espada; they were also accompanied by the President of the Aitiip Foundation, Juan Manuel Blanchard, and the CEO of Montepino Logística, Juan Vera.
These new facilities will be equipped with clean rooms, digital, ergonomic and safe working environments, from which we have the challenge and responsibility to continue developing our scientific-technical and technological capabilities to continue with the dissemination, communication and transfer of knowledge to the industrial fabric and society.
Development of advanced materials (such as composite, recycled and recovered materials and designed ad hoc to their expected functionality), as well as digital industrial processes including new state-of-the-art technologies such as rotational moulding and digital manufacturing for the translation into sustainable and value-added products for the markets mainly biotechnology industry, circular economy and bio-economy, packaging and containers as well as transport, mainly automotive and aeronautics.
